Forming a family and raising children through marriage is a socio-cultural contract and in Islam, is considered a divine covenant. The Holy Prophet of Islam (SAWW) is quoted to have said: “There is no foundation more beloved by Allah than a family.” & “Of the duties of the parents is to facilitate the marriage of their children.” Thus, delaying marriage, without a valid reason, is discouraged in Islam. Also, please be cognizant that Allah (SWT) and fourteen Masoomeen (AS) have stressed in looking for a religious / religiously inclined spouse and marriage at an early age to avoid sins and wrongdoing. In order to meet these requirements, refraining from self-imposed and restrictive spouse selection conditions, specially too much emphasis on physical features, and/or status, would be helpful.
PSV has started a service on Match making (arranged introduction) assistance for Matrimonial. Our purpose is to provide brotherly/sisterly voluntary service to meet this dire need of the community. The primary objective of this service is to facilitate the marriage of couples within the Ithna Ashari Shia Muslim Community. This service is free, highly confidential and personal. The process for "match-making", which in reality is an effort for making "arranged introduction" takes the following simple steps:
The first step is to get registered by filling out the attach Matrimonial Form (please click here for the form) and either send or submit this duly filled-in signed Form and a recent photo to Dr Syed Mahmood Hasnain smhasnain92@yahoo.com.
We will try our best to find the candidate according to the criteria mentioned in your Match Making Form for Matrimonial. It would be our pleasure to assist you in your spouse-selection. When a candidate of opposite sex or parents show interest in knowing more about you, we disclose name and contact info of the parties. This procedure of revealing the identity at the appropriate time to interested persons only opens the channel of communication between two seemingly matching candidates in order for them to obtain and share additional information about themselves and their families.
We expect the candidates/parents to provide us with their updated info such as engagement, marriage, graduation, promotion etc to keep us current and updated. If a candidate/parents does not respond promptly when we inform them about a seemingly matching candidate's intention to know more about him/her, we consider that candidate is not active in search.
For our mutual benefit, please spread the word about this service to your friends and relatives. In addition, we realize that a good networking in different communities in various cities of Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA and Canada is essential in meeting this dire need of the Ithna Ashari Shia Muslim Community.
